Flyer struck by lightning

THE Singapore Flyer was shut down on Sunday after being struck by lightning.

One of the electrical cables supplying power to the air-conditioners in the capsules was struck at around 1pm. Power was down and the air-conditioning was cut as a result.

A Flyer spokesman said some 200 visitors were taking the ride when lightning struck. The wheel was still operational, but without air-conditioning.

The management's decision to stop the ride was for comfort's sake, she added. Passengers were escorted off safely, and nobody was hurt in the incident.

Since then, the attraction has been closed. The spokesman said repair works are currently being done.

The Flyer has a lightning conductor, but it is not known why it did not function correctly on Sunday.

It is expected to reopen on Tuesday.

When you see Mosses coming down the parted white clouds, after you hear the loud roaring thunder, with two stone tablets on each of his hand...YOUR TIME is UP! ( not up size)

It must have missed you..hit the flyer.."did you hear a loud "OUCH!" also?...followed by a equally loud " darn @#$%$#@ who put that $#@$&*%$ Wheel there!"...

and the lightning struck the wheel.......flyer now becomes the fryer attraction...

If she had said, 'Come experience an electrifying experience', I would have made an exception and go Q up to take a ride.

Shuck, stopping the ride for safety sake......I will continue to give it a miss to avoid being struck by lightning, thank you.

Divine retribution of karmic proportions.
PAP has lost their mandate to rule and hopefully all the disgruntled voters could convinced their relatives, neighbours, friends et al that Singapore is going to the dogs.

Chinese loves money but are superstitious and maybe these past mayhems will freak them into swinging the votes.

PAP is good in simulations and projections of their achievements but reality will find them wanting an inadequate, coupled with all those million dollars paychecks probably gone to their heads and stuffed them out with hardly any grey matter left.

In crises come opportunities and this is the really once in the 50 years opportunity to topple them and put PAP out to pastures.
