Flood victims warned to be aware of "unwelcomed guests"
RANTAU PANJANG: Flood victims returning to their homes have been told to be wary dangerous creatures, such as snakes, taking refuge in their residence while they were out at flood evacuation centres. A farmer in Kampung Gual Tok Deh, near here, on Thursday had a shock of his life when he stumbled on a three-metre python in his chicken coop.
Civil Defence Department personnel had to be called in to catch the snake which was later handed over to the Wildlife and National Parks Department. Kelantan Civil Defence Department director Zainuddin Hussein said during a flood, dangerous creatures would normally take refure in houses vacated by their owners. Bernama
