STOMPers Nicholas, zs, Keith, Ed, Sharpener, K.I. and Kenzo all contributed stories and photographs of the situation.

A PUB spokesperson issued the following advisory:

"FLASH FLOODS ALERT.

"Due to heavy rain, flash floods are reported at Bishan Street 13 (in front of Kuo Chuan Presbyterian School).

"The road is still passable to traffic.

Later at 4.05pm, the PUB had the following update:

"The flash flood at Bishan Street 13 has subsided."

STOMPer Nicholas was on his way home, only to find that the void deck of his block of flats had become flooded:

"There is heavy flooding at the void deck here.

"How do we get home?"

Kenzo also described how the large drains were unable to cope with the influx of water:

"Flood!

"What happened to the drainage system?

"Even the big drains at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 beside Seagate were flooded."

Ed describes the effect the sudden flooding had on traffic in the area:

"A minor flood occurred after a sudden and sustained downpour. Vehicles had to slow down to avoid their engines stalling .

"The pavement even became submerged underwater!"

Keith also reported:

"There is flooding at Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park."

STOMPer sharpener described the situation at Yio Chu Kang:

"It was raining heavily afternoon at around 3pm.

"There was flooding at Yio Chu Kang MRT in front of Presbyterian High School.

"Many students were also seen crossing the flooded road. It's quite dangerous. Can the authorities do something about it?"

STOMPer K.I. wrote:

"It's raining like a waterfall in Ang Mo Kio!

"It rains heavily and in just few minutes, all you can see is flood!"

Finally, STOMPer zs also reported flooding at Nanyang Polytechnic.
