Firefighters in the city of Nangong, Hebei Province, rescued a six-year-old who had fallen into an abandoned irrigation well. The firefighters were alerted after local people heard the girl’s cries from deep in the well, which was only 60 cm in diameter, barely big enough for an adult human to get into.
