in a sense high finance like JPM, GS, Citi do hire fresh grad that pay decently. You still have to be of a certain caliber to pass their interviews though.
Surviving in those roles and having career progression is another thing. If you’re majority race in SG, be prepared to be a minority there. Most of the SWEs there are from 1 country and tend to hire and promote within their circles (based on anecdotes from multiple full time staff working there)
Kids are being lied to by the govt these days. They dont know these roles are all being filled by CECA and tiongs hiring their own kind. No space for local sinkies grads. Local U grads are losing out to them which is sad.
