SINGAPORE: The Filipino community in Punggol North showcased their culture and tradition in the heartlands for the first time.

Organised by the Filipino community and the Punggol Coral Residents' Committee, the Punggol Coral Tea For All brought some 150 residents together on Saturday afternoon.

The event was aimed at allowing them to get to know one another better and also find out more about their respective cultures.

To introduce Filipino culture and tradition to their neighbours, they sang and performed the traditional Filipino bamboo dance.

They were also joined by new immigrants from China and India.
