Malaysian woman strikes 65-year-old business partner with car and stabs her 15 times
MALAYSIA: A 35-year-old hijab and clothing entrepreneur struck her 65-year-old business partner with a car and then proceeded to stab her over 15 times at Batu 23, Jalan Kuala Berang at 3 a.m. on Nov 1.
According to the Malaysian online tabloid “Kosmo!”, the incident appears to have resulted from the suspect’s dissatisfaction with the way business profits were divided, eventually leading to a violent confrontation.
Datuk Mazli Mazlan, the Chief of Police in Terengganu, stated that preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect and her business partner had a dispute related to their business dealings while returning home to Wakaf Tapai, Marang.
“The victim subsequently exited the Honda Jazz car they were travelling in, before the suspect deliberately rammed her own vehicle into the victim.”
“The impact of the collision caused the victim to be thrown into a drain alongside the road,” he said.
The suspect then proceeded to stab the victim who lay helplessly in the drain approximately 15 times.
Afterwards, she callously abandoned both the victim and the Honda Jazz car they were previously in before getting into another vehicle that happened to pass by the scene not long after.
“The 35-year-old woman was apprehended at her residence in Wakaf Tapai at 11 a.m.
“A knife believed to have been used by the suspect was found discarded near her house,” Mazli said.
Eyewitness account
Additionally, Kosmo! reported that there was an eyewitness during the incident.
A security guard was left stunned when he witnessed the altercation between the two women, which later resulted in one of them losing her life.
During the incident at 3 a.m., the security guard was on duty at the guard post of a government facility near the scene.
Initially, he was taken aback when he heard a woman screaming for help.
“I went towards the road and suddenly saw the woman seeking help being hit by a Honda Jazz car.
“The impact caused the victim to be thrown into a nearby drain,” he said.
The security guard also claimed that the female suspect, who was seen hitting the victim, then exited the mentioned Honda Jazz before fleeing in another unidentified vehicle.
He also mentioned that the incident happened rapidly, leaving him unable to intervene effectively.
“I dared to approach the drain and found the victim lying there. After that, I reported the incident to the authorities, only to discover that the woman who had been hit had tragically passed away,” he said.
