Turkish champions Fenerbahce have hinted that they might pull out of the Turkish Super Ligafter the Turkish football Federation moved to ban some of the Istanbul club's top executives.
It was ruled on Monday that none of the clubs, including the Sukru Saracoglu outfit, would be facing collective punishment, however, several individuals have received personal sanctions from the governing body for trying to influence matches, including Fenerbahce's vice president Sekip Mostroglu.
The club's imprisoned president Aziz Yildirim has now hit out at the TFF for the ruling and says that the club may consider withdrawing from domestic competition.
"In this unjust order and in the event of the continuation of the same practices, Fenerbahce management has sufficient maturity and determination to take a series of sanctions and decisions, including withholding the Fenerbahce football team from competitions," Yildirim said in an official club statement.
"We will take this issue to the general assembly meeting after the [election] congress and discuss the possibilities."
More than 30 football officials are on trial in Turkey after prosecutors last year unveiled a widespread scheme of match-fixing in the Turkish top flight, including Yildirim, who has been accused of organising a criminal gang.

Fenerbahce supporters have rioted following the team's goalless draw with Galatasaray on Saturday, which saw them surrender their Super Lig title to their bitter rivals.
Unruly fans broke plastic chairs and threw them at the police after the final whistle at the Sukru Saracoglu, while flares were also thrown onto the pitch.
Pepper spray was also used, as the teams quickly fled to changing rooms, but journalists, players and even officers were said to have been affected by its dispersion.
Lig TV reported that some Fenerbahce fans clashed with police outside the stadium, throwing stones and using water cannons.
Fans also turned over two police vehicles and set them on fire in the Istanbul district of Kadikoy, but they were quickly put out by nearby citizens.
More clashes then continued to ensure between both sets of fans in Istanbul and other Turkish cities.
The pitch invasion and violence at the Sukru Saracoglu blocked Galatasaray from immediately celebrating their 18th league title.
But the team eventually returned to the field to receive the trophy, as Terim explained to state television: "We would not take the cup into the changing room."
Meanwhile, Galatasaray's championship success saw many of their fans celebrate the triumph in Istanbul in the form of dancing, lighting flares and waving flags.
Saturday's title decider was not without its controversy, though. Referee Cuneyt Cakir, who is to officiate during Euro 2012, booked a number of players and showed a red card to players in either team.
Nonetheless, Cimbom prevailed in the Super Lig play-offs, finishing one point ahead of Fenerbahce, and are now level on 18 league titles with Fener.
Galatasaray win Super Lig title following draw with Fenerbahce
Saturday's stalemate with their arch-rivals means Cimbom have been crowned champions of Turkey for the 2011-12 season, marking the start of Unal Aysal's reign at the club in style

Galatasaray clinched the Super Lig title after a 0-0 draw with Fenerbahce on Saturday confirmed their championship triumph.
Fatih Terim's side had finished top of the league in the regular season, nine points clear at the summit, but the four highest-placed teams were forced to play out a title play-off.
The clubs who participated went into the round of fixtures with half of their points tally, and Galatasaray were in serious risk of seeing their advantage slip away from them.
But despite winning just two of their six matches, compared to Fener's four victories, a stalemate at the Sukru Saracoglu on Sunday has given them their first league title since 2008.
The feat also makes Terim the most successful coach in the history of Turkish football with five Super Lig titles to his name, beating previous record holder and ex-Trabzonspor boss Ahmet Suat Ozyazici.
Following Gala's decade-long slump, presidential candidate Unal Aysal took control of the side last summer with the aim of bringing success back to the 2000 Uefa Cup winners.
His first step was to re-appoint Terim as coach, before overseeing an extensive recruitment drive, which saw the likes of Johan Elmander, Felipe Melo and Emmanuel Eboue among others added to the team.
Amidst the ongoing match-fixing scandal in Turkey, Galatasaray lead the way for much of the season, including a 14-match unbeaten run midway through the campaign.
