A female religious teacher was caught in close proximity with a former schoolmate while her husband, who is also a religious teacher, was in Mecca performing the haj.

Harian Metro reported that the soft-spoken and demure looking teacher, who taught in a primary school and held classes in a mosque, is married to a well-respected religious teacher in Kota Tinggi, Johor.

The 35-year-old woman claimed that she felt pressured and found solace in another man because her husband had a second wife.

The couple was caught fully dressed in the man’s shophouse.

Following the incident, the teacher immediately called her husband and asked for a divorce. The woman and her husband were married in 1997 and have two adopted children.
