Female PE teacher caught in bed with two former girl pupils, court hears

A school teacher is facing jail after she admitted engaging in sexual acts with two teenage girls who she was caught in bed with at the same time.
Sandrine Brown, 31, pleaded guilty to inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and five counts of sexual activity with a child.
The charges relate to two teenage girls, one who was just 13 or 14 at the time, and the other who was 16-years-old. A court heard there was an occasion where the PE teacher and the two youngsters were all in bed together.
Brown, of Stoke, Coventry, admitted inciting the underage girl to engage in sexual activity while she was in a position of trust as a teacher.
She also pleaded guilty to three charges relating to sexual activity with that girl when she was aged between 14 and 16. The final two counts of sexual activity with a child while in a position of trust relate to the other teenager when she was aged 16 and 17.
Brown also denied similar charges in relation to the two teenagers, one alleged to have occurred when the first girl was 17 and one when the second girl was 15. But the basis of her pleas were accepted at the hearing at Warwick Crown Court.
Prosecutor Graeme Simpson said: "There is evidence that there was an occasion when all three were in bed together, but no evidence of any sexual activity on that occasion."

Adjourning the case for a pre-sentence report to be prepared, Judge Andrew Lockhart QC said: "The court is dealing here with a teacher who has abused the position of trust she was given by the education authority by reason of the position she took between 2008 and 2011.
"It involves a gross breach of trust. These are often matters of complex relationships which develop over a period of time and become confused. But it is a very serious matter, as she has no doubt been told."

Brown was granted bail until her sentencing on November 27 with a "notification requirement" for her to attend a police station and register as a sex offender.
The teacher, who used to work at Finham Park School, in Coventry was arrested by West Midlands Police in April this year.
In a letter sent to parents of pupils at the secondary school, executive headteacher Mark Bailie said: "The allegations relate to former pupils who have left the school.
"We can confirm that no present pupils were involved. We can also confirm that Miss Brown no longer works at Finham Park School.
"At Finham Park School we take our safeguarding responsibilities extremely seriously and worked closely with the police and the local authority throughout their investigations.
"Given that criminal proceedings are ongoing we are unable to make any further comment."
