This kind of major global outage will take a long time to fix, even if officially announced fixed there might still be lingering problems.
It will be interesting if somehow the ENTIRE database of all photos, videos, posts on FB and Instagram and watsapp got ALL WIPED OUT and unrecoverable!

ig also cannot refresh. whatsapp seems ok. may be dns server farm issues. now whatsapp is also down in ca and ny. their data centers' geographic redundancy sucks.
