A bus driver has been arrested over a crash that left a motorist dead.
The SBS Transit double-decker bus hit a stationary car in Bishan on Monday, killing 61-year-old Lim Tau Han and injuring his wife.
Police said the driver was arrested for 'causing death by a rash act'. He is unhurt, and is out on bail.
There were no passengers on the bus, which was out of service. Mr Lim's wife, Madam Wong Tew Juan, 59, was in the passenger seat when the crash happened.
She told Chinese newspaper Lianhe Wanbao: 'A bus suddenly hit us. Our car spun around several times before stopping.'
She said her husband was trapped in the mangled vehicle for half an hour. '(He) was covered in blood, and I kept helping to wipe it off,' she added.
