An unfortunate accident caused by a tire blowout on Russian highway on 12 August 2012 resulted in five dead.
The incident was captured on dash cam of the car behind the accident vehicle.

The dash cam driver was in the slow lane on the extreme right of a 4-lane highway as a pickup truck overtook him on
the left. This was followed by a metallic silver station-wagon a few seconds later. Traffic on both side to the highway
were relatively light to moderate.

Suddenly, at the 18 second mark of this video, a black sedan in the Extreme Left lane of the oncoming traffic suffered
a tire blowout.

He lost control and his car swiveled across the 4-lane highway into the path of the metallic silver station-wagon.

The alert driver of the station-wagon took immediately avoidance action at the 19 second mark and swiveled to his
right trying to avoid a head-on collision with the black sedan.

Unfortunately for both vehicles, this avoidance action put both vehicles in an even more deadly collision path resulting in
the station-wagon slamming full force into the right side of the black sedan passenger's compartment resulting in five deaths
from both vehicles.

Had the station-wagon driver not take avoidance action, the accident "MIGHT" have been avoided as the black sedan would
have cleared from his path by the time he reached the projected point of impact.
