Photocopied ICs unnecessary for NDP tickets

However, I was turned away although I had my NRIC to prove my identity. Apparently, I had to submit a photocopy of my NRIC for the collection of tickets.
What purpose does a photocopy of the NRIC serve? I can't figure it out.
Organisers should consider how much waste they are incurring year after year and the inconvenience it causes to the public.

Aiyah, rules are rules , cannot suka suka bypass lah. Well at least not until you are able to sit in position like SMRT ceo , then you can "bo-chap" talking crap like- break rules. When swiss talent artist 'break some rules and fence' by 'beautifying' e train, they bai-song want to cane him. In e first place why bother abt this NDP show , every year also on TV wat, it is not like the Samba party with many volunteer chicks for display. Here it is exploitation of students and army boys to serve their duty. Still remember I burned my leave because of NDP , so cannot clear my leave in time for ROD. Die die cannot forget.
