It would seem that time and again in the news, some Chinaman or Mangali would be caught "red handed" for working with fake qualifications.
As any pest control folks will tell you, for every cockroach you see in the open, there are likely 6-7 more hiding in the crack.
So what then is the assurance that MOM can give to Singaporeans that a high standard of due diligence takes place prior to approving a foreigner's PR/EP/S-pass?
These 6-7 hiding the cracks will then garner sufficient experience, move on to greener pastures (US, UK, Oz), having their qualifications "laundered" in SG with the backing of credible work experience.
Worst of all, what if these cockroaches then, when they achieve a position of influence, further propagate their despicable behavior by employing their own kind emboldened to use the same tactic?
By then, many Singaporeans might as well literally look at their own hard-earned qualifications as toilet paper and the hard earned money invested in a quality education wasted away...
