海軍陸戰隊7月3日在左營進行漢光演習操演覆艇的中士阿瑪勒．道卡杜因傷送醫，持續在醫院氣切治療，經過76天的救治，國軍醫院今天上午9時40分仍宣告不治。總統蔡英文聞訊後深感悲慟不捨，已指示國防部務必給予家屬最大的協助，並期盼家屬節哀保重；海軍表示，後續將全力協助家屬辦理追晉、因公撫卹及喪禮相關事宜。

醫院表示，阿瑪勒．道卡杜狀況雖一度良好，能拆除葉克膜並恢復心肺功能，但昏迷狀態不見好轉，今天仍因心律不整、心室顫動及器官衰竭，在家屬同意下放棄搶救，並於上午9時40分宣告不治。
總統府發言人張惇涵上午表示，蔡總統聞訊後深感悲慟不捨，也非常遺憾在經過兩個多月的救治後，阿瑪勒‧道卡杜仍不幸殉職。總統已指示國防部務必給予家屬最大的協助，處理後續治喪、追晉、撫卹等相關事宜，並期盼家屬節哀保重。
海軍發布新聞稿表示，阿瑪勒 • 道卡杜於操演中戮力戰訓、捨身救人卻英勇殉職的事蹟，足為國軍表率，陸戰隊損失優秀菁英，深感悲慟與不捨，除了向家屬表達深切哀悼與撫慰之意，後續將全力協助家屬辦理追晉、因公撫卹及喪禮相關事宜。
漢光演習海軍陸戰隊7月3日在左營外海進行登陸搶灘，有一艘快艇疑因風浪大翻覆，造成7人落海，溺水上兵蔡博宇及上士陳志榮相繼宣告死亡，中士阿瑪勒．道卡杜今天也宣告不治，這起意外共釀3死。
