<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->APART from an old ez-link card, I have a Visa credit card that also doubles as a ez-link card.
After changing my old ez-link card for a new one, I asked the SMRT officer at Tampines MRT station to transfer the remaining value from my ez-link account in my credit card to my new ez-link card.
I was surprised when she said the transfer would entail the termination of my credit card. When I asked her how SMRT could terminate my credit card, her reply was that it was SMRT procedure. When I asked her how I could make the transfer without terminating my credit card, she said I could exhaust the ez-link value in my credit card.
Why?
