The West is entangled in 5G China 6G is already on the road. Hong Kong media: speed is 10 times that of 5G

Hong Kong media said that while the West is worried that China may control global 5G technology and base station equipment supply, engineers and stakeholders in mainland China are already preparing for the next generation of telecommunications networks.

According to the Hong Kong Asia Times website reported on January 7, Chinese engineers and IT companies are stepping up research and development and financing, aiming at the next big goal after 5G, when the wireless data transmission speed will reach an unprecedented height.

According to the report, universities and technical institutions in mainland China have established partnerships to pool talents and resources in order to develop breakthrough 6G technologies. And all this is still when the 5G commercial network is not online.

Yu Xiaohu, a professor at Nanjing Southeast University, said that by 2030, the sixth generation of wireless system technology will begin to change the daily lives of Chinese Internet and smartphone users, even though some regions of the world may not have fully mature 5G services.

According to the report, since 2015, China's spending on wireless communication infrastructure has exceeded US$24 billion. The Asian giant has built a vast network of 350,000 new mobile phone base stations nationwide. In comparison, there are fewer than 30,000 in the United States.

According to media sources close to the 5G working group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China is expected to accelerate the 6G concept research and experimentation as early as 2020 in order to develop its own set of definitions and standards.

Currently, the team is studying the potential applications of 6G before investing heavily in new technologies. In essence, experts are evaluating what 5G technology to launch in China starting in 2019 needs to focus on and which applications can be transferred to the 6G timeline.

In addition to expanding coverage, 6G's fluency and ultra-fast transmission speed are unparalleled, more than 10 times that of 5G (5G speed can reach 1Gbit per second). 4K movies can be downloaded in the blink of an eye and will open a new era of interoperability and virtual reality applications driven by rising transmission speeds.

According to mainland media reports, the 6G technology being developed will also provide unprecedented bandwidth to solve the related problems of 5G.

People familiar with the matter believe that it is common for the industry to initiate the development of next-generation communication technologies in advance, as a generation of technology typically takes 10 years to convert from laboratory testing to commercial use.

But some people also believe that the concept of 5G is already blurred. In order to drive future demand, telecom operators and equipment manufacturers will need to be able to promote the technology appeal of 6G, they said. (Compile / Wang Qiang)

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Qidong Shipyard in Qidong, Jiangsu Province, Asia's strongest “island artifact” and cutter suction dredger “Tianzhu” is making final preparations before launching. China Communications Construction's affiliated Tianjin Waterway Bureau Co., Ltd. (referred to as Tianhang Bureau) said that the successful launch of the "Tianlu" marked the further upgrading of China's dredging equipment R&D and construction capabilities, and related technologies have reached the world's advanced level.

[Observer Network Comprehensive Report] The Ministry of Commerce’s ban on the export of the island artifact “Tianhao” passed the “big test” and will soon become a real “map editor”.

Xinhua News Agency, at 12:30 on the 9th, after nearly three months of dredging and rock excavation tests, the largest heavy-duty self-propelled squirting ship in Asia, the Tianzhu, was successfully returned to China by the Tianjin Waterway Bureau. The shipyard marks the completion of all tests by the "Tianhao" and is officially ready for production.

The dredging capacity of the "Tianhao" exceeded the "Sky Whale", the largest self-propelled cutter suction dredger in Asia, which was also invested by the China National Highway Tianjin Waterway Bureau.

"Scorpio" sailing on the sea

The “Tian Whale”, which was previously known as the “Essence of the Island”, was jointly designed by Shanghai Jiaotong University and German companies to discharge a mixture of sea sand and sea water up to 6,000 meters away at a rate of 4,500 cubic meters per hour.

The "Scorpio" has a total length of 140 meters, a width of 27.8 meters, a maximum depth of 35 meters, and a total installed power of 25,843 kilowatts. It is designed to transport sea sand, rock and seawater mixture to a maximum of 15 kilometers at a rate of 6,000 cubic meters per hour. The location of the reamer is 6600 kW. The vessel went to Qidong, Jiangsu Province on October 2, 2018 to carry out a dredging test. After nearly one month of commissioning, the maximum productivity of dredging reached 7501 cubic meters per hour, far exceeding the design standard of 6000 cubic meters per hour. The ship's 15km long-distance excavation and conveying capacity.

During the dredging test, the commissioning of the “Tianhaohao” intelligent dredging control system was successful. This is the first application of the automatic dredging technology of the cutter suction ship in China. It has been researched and developed by the Tianjin Waterway Bureau of China Communications for five years and is another breakthrough in China's dredging technology. With this "brain", the "Scorpio" can realize unmanned automatic dredging, and can automatically adjust the movement according to the actual situation of the construction area to ensure that the production efficiency is maintained at a high standard for a long time.
The shovel of the "Scorpio" was dug under the shovel (photo taken on October 19, 2018). The reamer from the Xinhuanet "Tianhaohao" was dug under the shovel (photo taken on October 19, 2018).

On November 23, 2018, the "Tianlu" went to Dalian to carry out the rock excavation test. The test was carried out around the requirements of high output and low energy consumption. The excavation attitude test of the reamer on the rock bed, the cutter tooth test of different performances, the cutter speed test, the limit transverse tensile test, and the positive and negative knife excavation test were carried out. Various aspects of the experiment. In the end, the "Scorpio" successfully completed the test of excavating 60 MPa rock strength, exceeding the design standard of excavating rock hardness of 50 MPa.

According to Wang Jian, chief engineer of Tianzhu, during the test period, the performance of key construction equipment such as excavation system, conveying system and intelligent dredging system of “Tianhaohao” successfully passed the test of actual construction, and various test technical indicators. All meet or exceed design standards.

It is worth noting that the "Tianhao" will become the country's heavy weapon in building China's seas and seas with its long-distance transmission capacity of 15 kilometers, and is even called "map editor" by netizens.

The observer network columnist Tie Liu has pointed out that in addition to promoting the economic development of one side, land reclamation is also of great significance for safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity and the country's economic security. After the land reclamation in the South China Sea, a permanent military base can be built. Not only can radar stations and monitoring stations be built to monitor the airspace around the island reef, but also the aviation, missile, and surface ships can be deployed to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the motherland.

How efficient is the work efficiency of the "Scorpio"? Kong Fanzhen, the hull engineer of the ship's supervision team, made a vivid explanation to the news: “If you use the ‘Scorpio’ to dig up a ‘water cube,’ it takes only six and a half days to get the most power.”

More importantly, the “Tianhao” is the first heavy-duty self-propelled cutter in China with complete independent intellectual property rights from design to construction.

It is precisely because the work efficiency of the “Island Artifact” is extremely amazing. In May 2017, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China issued an announcement: in order to maintain national security, export control is imposed on large dredgers. No unit or individual may export without permission. .

According to Xinhuanet, the dredging and rock excavation tests that ended this time were the last test before the launch of the "Tianhao". The "Tianhao" returned from the "big test" handed over a satisfactory answer. Wang Jian revealed that in the next step, the "Tianhao" will be the final dock inspection at the shipyard, and will be officially put into operation after the docking inspection.
