SINGAPORE: A former croupier has been charged with converting S$36,000 worth of cash chips from the casino that he worked at for his own use.
Thirty-one-year-old Mervyn Goh Jie, who was employed by the casino at Marina Bay Sands, faced two charges in court on Monday.
He was accused of converting about S$15,000 of casino chips on 11 February.
Between February and April last year, Goh is said to have done the same with cash chips amounting to S$21,000.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 15 years and a fine on each count.
