A former insurance agent was on Friday, jailed 11 months for cheating, forgery and misappropriation offences involving about $105,000.
Lim Boon Wah, 38, was with AIA from 1998 to 2010. He committed the offences between 2005 and 2010.
Lim lied to his clients that they can invest in policies with attractive returns - which in fact did not exist.
He used the money meant for the non-existent policies to buy actual policies with less attractive returns.
