Recently, I went to Harvey Norman to buy an electronic item. Having looked over the range of items, I decided between two and asked one of the staff about its specifications and other information. Instead of having my questions answered, I got this now typical reply: 'Sorry, I don't speak English', accompanied by the usual blur look and hands tossed in the air.
I walked away and vowed never to return to Harvey Norman again. I will spend my hard-earned money in a store where I can get my questions answered.
Not long after this, I wanted to take an SBS bus to a destination but was unsure which one to take.
I therefore hopped on a bus and asked the driver how to get to my destination but got the reply: 'Sorry, I don't speak English.' I had to hop off the bus and wait for a driver who did speak English.
The Government tells us that foreigners should be hired only for jobs that cannot be filled by Singaporeans, but clearly these are two that can.
How can jobs that Singaporeans could fill in these tough times be given to foreigners who cannot even do them properly? Conon M. Weaver

If the 2 scenarios were represented with jude PRC chicks in revealing tops, blowing kisses, winking at him saying "shuai ge, ni yao qu ma?", I'd bet the angmo had lesser reason to complain, and more reason to root for hiring of FTs.

The plan to mass import FTs has been around since the stop at two campaign and the plan to overcharge sinkies for almost everything that the garment supplies either directly or through one of its GLCs.

dirty harry has said on numerous occasions that his job is to ensure that sinkies have to continue to work and not have time to think about civil society. And yet people wonder why sinkieland is screwed!

BUt the problem of too many FTs has escalted because the chaopappies have grown in numbers and they have to be fed. The chaopappies have invested in many homes and they need people to live in these homes. Without FTs you can easily see about 50,000 homes vacant. And those numbers will mean that chao pappies will not be able to repay their bank loans and they and the banks will suffer.

BUt who built all these surplus homes and increased HDB pricing at the same time? The cahopappies of course who are bred on greed and run by a kempetei officer known as dirty harry.
