PRICES of resale executive condominiums (ECs) have risen much faster than those of private mass market homes in recent years, and have hit yet another high, a recent study has found.
From the first quarter of 2007 to the first quarter of this year, the prices of resale ECs shot up 70 per cent, compared with the 39.6 per cent rise in mass market private home prices, the study from Savills Singapore said.
ECs are meant to bridge the gap for buyers keen to upgrade from public housing, but are unable to afford private homes.

Executive condominiums are generally meant for working class executives, while private condominiums on the other hand are for rich bums. ;)

Both are flat copies by the way.

Borrow large sums of money on floating rate mortgage loans at the current low interest rates.

SOUNDS very similar to the SUB-PRIME CRISIS in the making. When house prices suddenly head SOUTH and INTERESTS rates go up. A lot of Singaporeans are going to end up on MRT tracks.

is it true that the furnishings and materials used are different ?

Is it true that you are fat, stressed and confused? You should be, I think.

Well the problem lies in a very competitive world where people in their neverending desire for greater sophistication ironically end up getting themselves more confused than ever before. When you call home to be with the Lord that would be your equalized existence. You are overwhelmed and you are feeling helpless, maybe through bad speculation and the other mistakes you made out of your laxity in your earlier that proved irreparable even to you.

But regardless of what happened I still think the thing you need is your health. That's your first priority and I strongly urge you to pool all your available and existing resources into maintaining that.

Without it, all else are pretty meaningless. You gotta trust me on that. It's like you're on a death row. Then in your periodic hallucinations out of idleness you'd also start asking yourself things like what have you done in the last 50 years and all that, and when after all avenues of analysis are exhausted and you find that the self-justification just isn't there or just doesn't add up you'd feel even sadder and more helpless than, I mean, you already clearly are.

Poor old man. It should be time for you to start indulging in life's simple pleasures instead like a game of chess in your local CC of choice, or qigong sessions in the early hours, or meditating by the sea.

Stop trying your darndest to dabble in property anymore. You're just too old for that sort of mind-boggling thing.

You need to be really careful dealing in this sort of thing.

When that happens like you say it calls for a celebration. Of those the only ones with gloomy faces are understandably the cleaners and train operators. They did little to deserve something like this, but oh well, that's life.

Win some, lose some. Take it easy.
