</TR><!-- headline one : end --><!-- show image if available --></TBODY></TABLE>

<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I AGREE with Wednesday's letter by Madam Wong Kit May, 'Public transport: Bus schedules need to be improved'.
The waiting time for some buses is atrocious. I was waiting for service 123 in Queensway after just missing one bus. I had to wait about 30 minutes for the next bus. (There are no other services to Orchard Road.)
During the wait, at least three to five buses with the same service number came and went - 100, 147, 196, 198 and others. Why was there such a huge gap between service 123 buses? Especially when part of its route is in the Orchard area and many people travel to and from Orchard for work or pleasure.
Commuters waiting for service 106 in Commonwealth Avenue West face the same problem. At least three to four service 74 and 166 buses pass before service 106 arrives. By the time the bus arrives, it is full, while the more frequent services are only 30 to 50 per cent occupied.
To make it worse, service 123 is only a single-decker while services 74 and 166 are double-deckers.
