<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->OF LATE, the north-bound evening traffic on the Central Expressway (CTE) has improved greatly and I would imagine most drivers who take that route would have noticed that their average speed has increased a lot.
The traffic there is very smooth these days compared to other highways like the Pan-Island Expressway, where one can see that it is slower.
This being the case, when will the Land Transport Authority consider lifting the evening Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges along the CTE?
If not, could LTA explain why the charge is still necessary when the traffic there is much better than other highways?
