Those who exit the CTE via Braddell Road from May 7 will not have to pay ERP charges, now at 50 cents.
Drivers continuing towards the city however, will have to pay $2 between 7.30am and 8am; and $3 between 8am and 8.30am. These new rates are 50 cents and $1 more respectively than the rates now. They also apply to motorists entering the CTE south of Braddell via three other gantries.
Those using the Pan-Island Expressway slip road into the CTE will pay 50 cents less - $3, instead of $3.50 now.
All other ERP rates will remain unchanged.
The latest changes were made in a review of ERP charges, which are tweaked regularly to reflect changes in traffic conditions. The next review will be later this month, for the June school holidays. ERP rates are usually lowered duringschool breaks, when the traffic volume dips.
