Ref to Eric How's post above and some of the comments, let me share some info.
After YP came across some offensive postings by a certain Eric How, we wanted to find out who was Eric How, if he was a YP member and why did he post such comments. We identified only one Eric How in the database and I called him to find out more.
As Eric shared in his post above, he told me he did not post those comments. He was concerned that the postings would continue, affected his personal life and felt troubled. As we were not able to provide him any further details and he sounded worried, I asked if he would like to make a police report so the police could help look into the matter and through their investigation, provide him some clarity. He made a police report.
Having read the comments made here, I suggest we let the police do their work. At the same time, we should also let Eric continue with his life.
Through this issue, our members should note the dynamics of the internet. Let's strive towards providing constructive comments over the internet and encourage diverse views, in a manner to advance a greater good.
