A TOP Premier League footballer is the target of a sex tape blackmail plot, The Sun can reveal.
Our reporters have seen footage of the married international being pleasured by a mystery blonde.
A team of gangsters posing as businessmen are demanding £100,000 in cash for the clip.
And while the blackmailers were trying to broker a deal with The Sun they were also threatening the player in a bid to force cash from him.
If he refuses to pay up they say they will post the footage online then charge £1 a time to watch it.
Our men went to a pub in Streatham, South London, to view the clip.
It shows the player reclining on a couch, still in his underwear and socks, as the girl performs a sex act on him.
Then the lens is turned to the face of the player who we cannot name, and reveals him casually sending a text on his mobile phone.
The men who tried to sell us the 2min 13sec clip claim the flamboyant millionaire footballer is texting his wife. After playing the footage on a laptop the men deleted it and demanded £50,000 plus 50,000 euros for a memory stick containing the original clip.
A fixer translated the demands of his foreign gangster pal. They refused to say how they got the footage but bragged they could contact the blonde.
We made our excuses and left before calling the player’s representatives to expose the bid to involve us in the plot.
But soon after making that call the fixer – who only gave his name as Alex – demanded to know why we had contacted the player.
He revealed that despite the player’s denials he was in contact with the gang and they had made previous attempts to sell him back the footage.
The player threatened to have the men tracked down and have the clip seized back.
The player’s PR guru last night said he refused to admit the footage was of him, and claimed it was a hoax cobbled together by internet geeks.
