THE maid was too enchanting for her married employer to resist. He decided to divorce his wife and marry the maid in her hometown in Indonesia.
Now the man has to face the reality that the maid has now disappeared and left him with their child, Metro Ahad reported.
The paper said Saiful Zamhuri, 47, took Elly Nuryahati Sapei, 33, as a maid after she told him that she had run away from a cruel employer.
Saiful described Elly as "a good girl who knew how to pamper others."
Despite having a wife and two teenage sons, he fell for Elly's charms and decided to marry her at her hometown in Karawang in 2003.
However, Saiful said Elly left their home in Kampung Setia, Kuang, Selangor, in February.
"She claimed that she wanted to earn extra money to bring her family in Indonesia out of poverty, al-though I gave her RM200 every month.
"I was waiting for her to finish work as a cleaner at the Tenaga Nasional Berhad office in Rawang.
"However, she sent me a text message asking me to forget her and said she is working for someone else," he added.
Saiful said that they have a daughter, Nor Shafiqah, who is now six-years-old.
He added that Shafiqah cried for her mother every day.
