Eight ‘China dolls’ picked up during hotel raid
IPOH: Eight women from China were detained at a four-star hotel here on suspicion of offering sexual services. Anti-vice policemen from here and Bukit Aman also picked up two men in their 30s – believed to have acted as pimps – in the 7.45pm raid on Saturday.
Asst Supt Khairi Anuar Rosli, who headed the operation, said the women, aged 20 to 30, were found in eight rooms. “The police conducted room-to-room checks on the seventh and ninth floors of the hotel,” he said after the operation.
ASP Khairi Anuar said initial investigations showed that the women, who had valid passports, were offering sexual services.
