Photos of town council workers in East Coast-Fengshan Town Council shirts distributing bags with the People's Action Party (PAP) logo to households have emerged on social media.

Town council workers seen distributing PAP materials
According to a Facebook post by Amir Abu Adam, foreign workers were seen carrying and transporting a trolley full of bags at HDB void decks.

One worker was wearing a maroon shirt that read "East Coast-Fengshan Town Council".

It is unclear if distributing party political material during the General Election campaigning period was part of the town council workers' job scopes.

In response to a media query from Mothership, East Coast-Fengshan Town Council said it is not aware of this issue.

It added that its cleaners are not allowed to distribute the materials.

The town council will be investigating the matter.
