Duo in mini heroin lab nabbed
GEORGE TOWN: Police busted a mini heroin-producing laboratory and arrested two men at a condominium unit off the Jelutong Expressway here. The duo were caught in the act of processing the heroin when a Bukit Aman narcotics department team raided the place at about 1.45pm. An automatic pistol with several rounds of ammunition, cooking utensils and an assortment of chemicals such a hydrochloric acid were recovered in the premises. The amount of heroin seized was still unknown at press time.
Busted for drugs: Policemen in plain clothes taking away two suspects from the condominium after a Bukit Aman narcotics department team raided the unit Friday.
It is learnt that the unit located on the second floor had been in operation for quite some time. The windows were covered with red cloth to prevent neighbours from looking in . State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Ayub Yaakob confirmed the case.
