Contractors in Dubai are being dumped after developers were hit with serious cash flow problems
Workers who left steady jobs in Asia to work in the building powerhouse of Dubai have been disappointed by the sudden downturn in construction.
Many workers now have no food, no money and no job.
The Emirate, which was home to some of the most glamorous building projects on the planet, has over the past years employed guest labourers who often live together in rooms with six to 10 fellow workers.
Much of the revenue for Dubai properties came from the selling of properties which hadn't been built yet.
With banks no longer interested in lending money and nobody interested in buying property, the developers have lost both avenues for finance.
