涉的士車禍醉酒洋漢控謀殺

涉及昨日清晨中環 發生的多輛的士相撞的醉酒澳洲 男子今日被控謀殺，案中一名司機死亡。

昨日凌晨約三時三十分，一輛載着醉酒澳洲男子之的士，司機與醉客在行車途中口角，的士其後於美利道失控，撞毁消防欄衝過對行線，引發4輛的士串燒相撞意外。救援人員到場將肇事司機救出送院時，坐於前座的男子突開車逆駛50米，迎頭撼向駛至的另一輛的士始停下，洋漢當場被追截警員擒住。肇事的士司機送院後於上午八時三十二分證實死亡。車禍中另外兩名的士司機受傷。

警方消息稱，警方正調查司機是否被人襲擊或干擾致失控肇禍，並循兇殺方向調查，案件交由中區警區重案組跟進。

警方今日落案控告該名22歲澳洲男子一項謀殺罪，他將於明日在東區裁判法院提堂。

Expat in Hong Kong charged with murder

Hong Kong - Hong Kong police late on Sunday said they had charged a 22-year-old male expat with murder following a fatal traffic accident in which a taxi driver was killed.

The police statement did not name the man or say which country he was from.

However, police and media reports earlier Sunday said an Australian man, named as 22-year-old Kelsey Michael Mudd, had been held after the driver of a taxi he was travelling in died following a crash early Saturday morning.

The 58-year-old driver of the taxi was certified dead several hours later and the suspect will appear in court on Monday, the most recent police statement said.
