A SINGAPOREAN and Malaysian man suspected of drug trafficking were arrested by officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) on Thursday.
Following more than two months of investigations, CNB officers mounted an ambush and nabbed the duo at the basement of the Beach Road apartment building the drug trafficker had rented.
It is believed the duo had just completed a transaction.
The drug trafficker, a 32-year-old man, had allegedly distributed drugs in the Geylang and Beach Road area.
He had used his apartment as a drug store, said the CNB in a statement.
When CNB officers raided his home, they found drug trafficking paraphernalia such as digital weighing scales, empty plastic packets, envelopes and aluminium foil.
