A man who sold drugs to secondary school students was given a total of nine years' jail and 14 strokes of the cane for drug trafficking and other charges.
Babukannan Karunaniddy, 38, unemployed, had admitted to two charges of trafficking in heroin, and one each of heroin possession, taking morphine and failing to report for a urine test last September.
Within five hours on Sept 6 last year, officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau arrested a 15-year-old student, a 20-year-old man, and Babukannan separately for drug offences in Bishan.
