Dramatic helicopter shoot-out and car chase in Rio de Janeiro
An investigation has been launched after Brazilian police spray a suspected drug trafficker's car with bullets from a helicopter gunship as they chase him through the streets of Rio de Janeiro.

The night-vision footage shows a car weaving through the streets of Rio de Janeiro, as gunfire rains down from the police helicopter.
Alleged drug trafficker Marcio Pereira managed to escape after the car came to a stop in a slum called Favela da Coréia and was surrounded by residents. He was found dead the next day in a parked car.
Brazilian police have launched an investigation into whether the officers involved used excessive force in their pursuit.
The incident happend on May 11, 2012.
