日本防卫大臣河野太郎8日向青森县道歉，起因是一架美军战机在该县上空误投一枚200多公斤的模型弹，日本防卫省却耽搁一天才通知该县。
日本共同社报道，驻日美军三泽基地位于青森县三泽市。隶属这一基地的一架F-16型战机6日18时35分左右训练时，不慎向训练设施外投下模型弹，所幸没有人员伤亡。
不过，直到7日，日本中央政府才向青森县政府通知此事，招致该县不满。
河野太郎8日向青森县知事三村申吾道歉，承认那枚模型弹“非常重，因此有可能酿成重大事故”。
那枚模型弹落在驻日美军训练设施“三泽对地射击轰炸场”以西大约5公里处。这处训练场由日本自卫队和驻日美军共同使用，是本州岛上唯一一处对地射击和轰炸训练地点。
日本防卫省向美军提出抗议，要求美方采取有效举措防止类似事件重演。
驻日美军近年来事故频发。2017年10月，美军一架CH-53E大型运输直升机在空中起火后紧急降落冲绳县一处农田，距离居民区只有几百米，险些造成人员伤亡。同年12月，美军军机发生两起空中坠物事故，分别砸中冲绳普天间基地附近托儿所屋顶和小学操场。（杨舒怡）【新华社微特稿】

Japanese Defense Minister Tono Kono apologized to Aomori on the 8th for a US military aircraft accidentally casting a model kilogram of more than 200 kilograms over the county. The Japanese defense province delayed the day before notifying the county.

On the 8th, Kono was apologized to Shingo, the governor of Aomori, and admitted that the model bomb was "very heavy, so it may cause a major accident."
The model bomb landed about 5 kilometers west of the "Sanze Earth Shooting and Bombing Ground" of the US military training facility in Japan. This training ground is jointly used by the Japanese Self-Defense Force and the US military stationed in Japan. It is the only venue for local shooting and bombing on the island.
The Japanese Defense Ministry protested to the US military and asked the US to take effective measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

In October 2017, a CH-53E large-scale transport helicopter of the US military rushed to a farmland in Okinawa Prefecture after a fire in the air. It was only a few hundred meters away from the residential area, causing casualties.
