Having been kicked out of the World Cup and sparked a players' mutiny, disgraced striker Nicolas Anelka may finally have met his match:
Germaine Domenech, the mother of France's embattled coach.

"I'd like to meet Mr Anelka and give him a piece of my mind as a mother," said pensioner Mrs Domenech.

Chelsea star Anelka was booted out of the World Cup after launching a foul-mouthed tirade against coach Raymond Domenech in the 2-0 defeat to Mexico, a result which has left the 1998 champions teetering on the brink of elimination.

Anelka was alleged to have told Domenech: "Go screw yourself, you dirty son of a whore." He was then expelled before the rest of the squad staged a strike in sympathy and refused to train.

"It's distressing to be insulted like that, because he is not just the coach but he is also my son," Mrs Domenech told RTL radio. "It's a double insult to my son and to me as his mother." AFP

it was shown twice. when parreira went over to shake hands with domenech, the french peacock turned away. perreira had to tug at his jacket and force him. then the french launch a tirade of comments which i don't think perreira understood a word.

Opening match was with senelgal. I remember watching diao or diuof and laughing at his Bj lips.

That 2002 world cup the France Ft team must have caused many bookies to run road. They had the 3 top scorers for the english, spanish and french leagues yet they only scored 1 goal.
