Law to change so kidney donors can be compensated

The law will be changed early next year to allow people who donate their kidneys to get monetary compensation from the recipient or a voluntary organisation.

The amount should not be so large that it is seen as an inducement, said Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan when he announced this yesterday.

He hinted that the sum will be at least five figures, possibly six. The actual amount of compensation will be left to a committee which will be set up by the Ministry of Health to look into this.

Will the Lee Inc. accept donors from the low educated peasant since they despise people who are not well educated. No matter how rich you are once you are striken ill, you will think of the poor's....organs.

So you see, the laws are enacted to benefit only the rich and greedy knowing poor recipients cannot afford such 5-6 figure compensation.

Can I specify in my application forms that my organs should not be donated to ministers and all their closely related family members?
