All of them told me that they had never had a sense of belonging towards Singapore although their family, friends and career are here. They are not racist or loner, they are just normal commoner. I think there is something seriously wrong here with the system. If one was to be born, bred, educated and even serve NS in one country, naturally he should feel a sense of belonging, if not, what will?
