but as time when by, the kid grow older. say 5-7 years old, i think its best to keep a distance. physically. not emotionally. light pat on the shoulder, pat on the head, etc, yeah, no problem. but kiss kiss the cheek? nah...

i don't believe in this shower the kid with hugs and kisses. i mean... lots of people from older generation, the parents don't have to keep on kissing the kids cheek, and vice versa. and the kids grow up, there are love and respect between the parents and the kids nevertheless. no need to resort to those cheap goose bump inducing kisses on the cheek like those ang moh.
