The "owner" of the vehicle said that it's ok (though the car is about 6 months old) as the car has comprehensive insurance coverage and belongs to the COMPANY... and they have other luxury cars for the directors as well....WOW!!!

The car was bought about 6 months ago meaning that it was bought during the economy downturn period... and the company is a IT outsourcing company... It only means the following....

1. The company might pay the working class(the programmers and other IT professionals) badly.
2. The company might be very rich.... and only pay the management "VERY" well... (Is that the norms of companies in Singapore?????)
3. When a company says that it is hit by economy crisis but still buy BIG luxury cars for the directors and the higher management ... What does that imply??
4. Been wondering whether the govt's initiative to help "companies" have actually make those companies richer....

I know of a company where the boss has at least 2 cars. Bought with company's money but registered them under his personal name. of coz to stop tongue's wagging, he ordered a board resolution to ensure he has no "beneficial interest" to the vehicles.
Is it allowable for company directors to own more than one luxury cars? I mean, can he drive more than 1 car at any one given time?

I oso know of a company CEO that has been losing SGD$1 million every month at the various casinos around the region....... wondering whether is it his own money that he's losing?
