Hmm I wonder if SGP govt. also practises that, since both are quite similar in nature...enjoys controlling their citizens...

PRC spies are all over the world, less to monitor their overseas citizens, but more to influence economic policy in their favour. They infiltrate the ranks of major international commodity companies, then try to initiate buyovers so that they can get a controlling stake. Then they will deflate the prices of these companies commodities so that PRC can buy at a discount.

They also infiltrate satellite and telecommunication companies to buy infrastructure worldwide.

It's scary when you see the whole picture because they are intent on controlling the world to do their bidding in commerce. Their spies are all over the world and masquerade as businessmen who rub shoulders with political leaders. They can then forward their nations agenda as well as gain intelligence on the host country's policy and military strategy.
