An apparent dissatisfaction over the price of a haircut resulted in a group of men, armed with sticks and parang, storming a barber shop and beating three barbers in Malacca, reported the Harian Metro.
During the 9pm incident, the group appeared suddenly on five motorcycles then smashed the mirrors and damaged the barber’s tools.
As a result, the three barbers aged between 20 and 40, suffered injuries to their bodies and heads.
They were rushed to the Malacca Hospital.
The barber shop’s franchise manager, M. Senthil Kumar, 36, said he was in Johor Baru on Sunday when he was informed that 10 men on five motorcycles barged into the premises.
Meanwhile, State Crime Investigation Department Chief Assistant Commissioner Raja Shahrom Raja Abdullah said the attack is believed to have happened because one of the attackers was dissatisfied with the price he was charged three days before for a haircut.
