Discounted toll rates on Christmas Day
KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty-four highway concessionaires will be giving discounted toll rates and rebates for road users travelling on Christmas day.
Malaysian Highway Authority director-general Datuk Ismail Md Salleh said the concessionaires had agreed to offer discounts or rebates of up to 37.5% in view of Christmas that falls on Dec 25.
“This is part of their corporate social responsibility initiative and in appreciation of road users,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Ismail said about two million vehicles are expected to use the expressways and highways throughout the country.
