Delhi Building Collapse: Three Dead, 12 Injured

Three people have been killed in Delhi while 12 others were injured on Sunday afternoon when an under-construction three-storey building collapsed, said the police.
Among those injured are three women.
The building collapse took place at about 12.30 PM in the crowded Sadar Bazar area in the old city.
The bodies of three males were recovered from among the debris. The victims have been identified as 25-year old Babu Paswan, 50-year-old Natwar Lal, and his 25-year old son Ashok. A police officer said that all three were labourers.
According to a police officer, at least 12 people, among them three women, have been injured in the mishap. The injured have been admitted to Hindu Rao, Ram Manohar Lohia hospitals and Sushruta Trauma Centre. The condition of one of the injured is critical.
The officer has also said that everyone has been rescued from the spot, and a case of negligence registered against the building owner, adding that a probe is being conducted.
Delhi Fire Service said that three excavator machines had been rushed to the spot in order to remove debris and rescue the trapped.
