And I say it can be 2 to 3 dozen to buy. Not at all that SU-57 is any better than J-20. In fact the slight edge in just 2~3 minute areas that SU-57 have over J-20 will be lost this year when 峨嵋 WS-15 engines are completed and fitted on J-20.

Why?

The Grand Overall Big Aim is to KILL USA, and if Xijinping is not exporting his ace J-20 then he have to buy SU-57 to force 2 to 3 other countries to buy SU-57, and by doing that it will deprive USA of F-35 sales and the F-35 users will lost edge to SU-57 everywhere - this includes RSAF.

When China buys SU-57 it will force India & Vietnam to buy the same. They asses will face very instant and intense heats from PLA rapidly armed with J-20 J-16 and SU-57 & SU-35 , it is much more rapid fire/heat than they will get from Chinese warplanes assembly line because there is still bottle neck there, not producing as many warplanes as wanted by PLA air force, navy air corp, & army air corp. When buying from Putin, then the intensified heat will be from both Chinese & Russian production lines' speeds.

Speed is very important especially want big war starts, and warplanes are lost in combat rapidly. The one who cannot replenish losses is the loser of the war.

Chinese purchase of SU-57 will not only force other countries to purchase them, it will also induce some others to purchase. This includes Golden Escalator & his oil rich brothers. It may also include Kazakhstan Belarus which can afford a small fleet.

For the case of India, if ABNN Modi could get SU-57 then they will be less likely to buy F-35. The opposite is true, if they can not get SU-57 then they are very hard pressed to get F-35. Hence Xijinping buying SU-57 can deprive Dotard's F35 sales which Dotard is very desperately hungry for arms sales.

WS-15 engine is the original intended J-20 engine which is currently substituted by WS-10B as a temporary measure, as WS-15 is being finalized, and with WS-15 it will have the intended power and 3D-thrust-vectoring maneuverability like SU-57.

What really is the MOST Practical Actual use of SU-57 in PLA?

I am very sure it is the PRE-WAR ENGAGEMENTS e.g. right now at SCS.

Why?

Because the pre-war engagements are what each other will do to induce opponents to engage in pseudo combat or confrontation or war game or limited conflict without declaring war, and OBJECTIVE be to familiarize with weapon capabilities & limitation and performance, strategy, tactics, styles, responses, and the combat technical parameters revealed, e.g response time, reload, refuel time, radar frequencies, missile fire control frequencies, communication channels. Etc.

Chinese will want to know the real feel of engagement against F-22 & F-35. USAF will want to know about J-20, J-16, J-10 etc.

Then Chinese will want to hide their J-20 parameters and keep surprises. So if USAF came fuck around SCS to gain information PLA would avoid to send own Ace J-20 to expose information to USAF.

Hence buying SU-35, SU-57 will serve these purposes. They are Russian weapons and not Chinese. So during PRE-WAR ENGAGEMENTS, use Sukhois SU-35 & SU-57 to force USAF to reveal F-22 7 F-35 combat parameters and weaknesses, without revealing J-20 J-31 J-16 J-10 J-11 etc own jets.

This is really a worthwhile reason to buy. And for just this reason, nothing further need to be considered, unless the prices were unfavorable or Putin cannot deliver in time - no such issues.

Especially for this PRE-WAR ENGAGEMENT purposes, SU-57's advantageous characteristics are most perfectly suitable. And J-20 is unsuitable.

J-20 is by design is a war predator machine, A LONG DISTANCE KILLER ALIKE SNIPER. It stealth itself and concealed and shoot a very long range missile from further than USAF could fire back, because USAF missiles are not as long ranged. Hence J-20 is useless to do Security Guard nor Border Police Role, it is a sniper role. It can not be used without a lethal kill, if you are not declaring war nor preparing to start war than totally no point to send J-20. Yes, you have an intruder and you know very well who the fuck it is, and in PRE-WAR Phase you don't want to kill yet, but you want them to be kicked and warned off WITHOUT HURT - this border guard roal or police role or security guard role, not a sniper role.

This role you must reveal yourself up close face to face, and engage and block and chase and push and shaft in dog fight close distance. A sniper is not useful unless you want to kill. Sniper don't reveal themselves and come up close. They kill you from afar you got no idea where are they shooting from.

SU-57 is excellent for this role. The the disadvantage of SU-57 don't matter at all here, e.g. SU-57 is not so good stealthy. This is not important because you are revealing yourself anyway to block and engage an intruder like a security guard. You got to do the stupid ritual to warn and declare territory and aim and follow them up close. You need superior maneuverability @both high & low speeds. You need to be less expensive (which SU-57 is cheaper than J-20) Robust Strong Durable to bump bang and hit. Which Sukhoi are good at. SU-57 got best 3D thrust vectoring ability to turn and spin and roll around for such engagements.

SU-57 is also correctly armed for this purpose it has powerful (alike police side arm) 30mm gun, which J-20 don't because it is not for dog fight but sniper fight. This 30mm gun ideal for causing limited damages at selected portion of enemy plane at up close distance, or fire warning shots over their front. You cannot use missiles for such purposes, unless you want to result is a real kill = shot down.

One weapon I expect PLA to develop is a laser pod for these PRE-WAR ENGAGEMENT like at SCS. It can be used without totally shooting down a plane, but can serve warning very well, cause pilot temporary or permanent blindness, holes on selected parts of aircraft, cut-off a tip of wing or tail, damage GPS/SATELLITE COMMS ANTENNAS, damage non-lethally. You can write software to engrave words on enemies intruder aircraft any part you want and any text e.g. YANKEES FUCK OFF, DOTARD SUCK MY DICK or 操你妈 傻屄 滚蛋 or what not. Military can do it better than commercial laser engraving machines. Can draw graphics, e.g. a pig or CB or LJ or Middle finger sign. Anything demoralizing the enemy and give them unforgettable encounter from this engagement.

You can engrave them and then take video / photo and release on news, very exciting for the whole world to see.

苏-57为何出口?
从目前的情况来看,对苏-57隐身战机出口意愿最强烈的,就是研制生产商——俄罗斯国家技术集团。苏-57隐身战机是俄罗斯国家技术集团在航空领域最为重要的核心产品之一,该集团为其投入了大量资金和人力、物力。如今,正是关系到苏-57隐身战机整个项目成败的关键点。而俄罗斯国家技术集团所做的一切,都是为了尽力挽救苏-57隐身战机项目可能遭到失败的命运。
从理论上讲,苏-57这样采用重型双发设计的隐身战机应当是国之重器,是绝对不可以外贸出口的。比如,美国研发生产的各型武器装备数以千计,唯独F-22A隐身战机是绝对不允许出口的,甚至由国会专门为此出台禁售法案。同样,我国自主研发的歼-20隐身战机也只能装备国内空军。所以,中美两国向国际市场推销的都是F-35以及FC-31这样相对低端的中型隐身战机。而苏-57隐身战机的情况与F-22A、歼-20有所不同,俄罗斯空天军经过测试后对该机的性能并不满意,明确表示短期内不会大批量采购,首批订单仅有可怜的12架。
其实,与F-22A、歼-20相比,苏-57隐身战机的致命缺陷非常明显,那就是隐身性能差距太大。其根本问题还是在于设计人员的思想依然停留在第四代战机的研发思路上,即过于强调降低技术风险、沿用旧有布局,重视近距格斗机动性而忽视超视距空战性能。特别是在隐身设计上,俄罗斯航空企业设计人员只是在总体气动布局上采用了某些通用化的技术特征,但是细节设计严重不足,包括座舱、红外观瞄系统、进气道、尾喷管等。而且,沿用类似于苏-27的机腹双进气道后,也让苏-57隐身战机的内部弹舱布局设计受到了很大的限制。
俄罗斯空天军原本希望装备一型能够在各方面超过美国F-22A和F-35的超级隐身战机,这也是苏-57这一数字编号的由来(22+35)。但是,经过国家测试后,特别是在叙利亚战场的短期测试,俄罗斯空天军发现苏-57隐身战机的性能远远无法达到其预想的要求。所以,至少从目前来看,苏-57隐身战机大批量装备俄罗斯空天军的可能性已经很渺茫。

苏-57在我军中如何定位?
对于我国空军以及海军航空兵来说,是否有必要装备俄罗斯苏-57隐身战机?该型战机在我军装备体系中有没有价值?确实值得我们分析和讨论。
其实,当初我国与俄罗斯协商采购苏-35战机时,有不少军事爱好者就认为既然我们已经能够研制生产歼-20隐身战机,没有必要再从俄方进口苏-35战机。其实,大国空军的装备体系并不是出现了新一代战机,就不再需要上一代战机这么简单的迭代关系。比如,我国空军在装备歼-20隐身战机的同时,歼-16、歼-10C等第四代改进型战机也在源源不断交付部队。同样,美国国防部在时隔几十年之后,又重新在2020财年预算中采购8架全新生产的F-15EX第四代战机。
事实上,现代大国空军装备体系需要各型不同性能和设计定位的战机共同构建完成,只要有合适的位置,无论是哪一种战机都是有价值的,苏-35战机在我国就是如此。根据俄方对外公布的消息,我国军方对于苏-35战机的性能以及实际表现非常满意,不仅考虑采购第二批,还计划引进生产线。所以,俄方很自然的就会认为,既然我国军方有兴趣继续采购苏-35战机,不如选择性能更好的苏-57隐身战机。尽管后者的价格肯定要比前者更昂贵,但是性能提升也是跨越一代的,应当说是物有所值。
笔者认为,在当前中航工业歼-20隐身战机产能还在逐步提升的前提下,采购一批苏-57隐身战机装备空军航空兵部队,也是可以值得考虑的。毕竟我国周边国家,如日本和韩国已经开始批量装备F-35隐身战机。如果我国空军能够形成歼-20+苏-57+歼-16+苏-35的这一作战体系,就可以确保在东亚地区的空中优势。此外,笔者认为目前对于隐身战机更为渴求的,还有我国海军岸基航空兵部队。因为当前生产的歼-20隐身战机主要优先装备空军航空兵部队,而海军岸基航空兵部队就可以通过装备俄制苏-57隐身战机,来获得更加强大的空中作战优势。
除了部队装备使用,我国还可以通过对引进的苏-57隐身战机进行分析研究,吸收俄方在先进战机设计以及空战应用方面的有益经验。在这方面,其实我国空军通过苏-35战机的服役使用,就已经受益匪浅。所谓“他山之石可以攻玉”,苏-57隐身战机作为目前俄罗斯航空工业的尖端产品,在某些方面也很值得我们借鉴和学习。此外,通过采购苏-57隐身战机,我国还能够同步引进配套的先进大推力涡扇发动机、机载武器制导弹药等,从而促进国内相关行业的发展。
