Decomposed body of man found in Geylang canal, police investigating unnatural death

SINGAPORE - A man's body was found floating in a canal near Geylang Lorong 40 on Saturday evening, in a case that has been classified as unnatural death.
Police said they received a call requesting assistance in the said location at about 5.30pm.
The body was retrieved and the man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The Straits Times understands that the body was decomposed, making identification difficult. Police investigations are ongoing.
