KUALA LUMPUR - A resident at a flats here found a foetus wrapped in plastic on a road near the 19-storey building.
The discovery sparked rumours among residence that it might have been thrown from the high-rise building.
However, forensic tests showed that the foetus was dumped somewhere else before being dragged to the flats by animals, possibly stray dogs.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohan Singh said the foetus of the boy was found with bite marks and tyre impressions.
"We believe it was run over by a car and dragged around by animals before it was found on Saturday at 9.30pm," he said at the Cheras police headquarters yesterday.
He said the foetus was six months old and police were working to identify the mother.
