The McCain / Palin campaign has taken a dark and desperate tone which unfortunately is all too familiar to many of us.
Saddled with a damning investigation into her own ethical lapses, Palin resorted to insinuating that Obama is a terrorist, releasing and fanning the racism and fear latent among so many American voters. It has provoked calls to kill Obama which went unchallenged by either candidate.
M/P have also attacked Michelle (wife of Barrack) Obama.
It had apparently become so bad that many erstwhile Republican voters had walked out of the rallies, disgusted at the hatred expressed at the events.
For Singaporeans, however, such tactics are the norm for one particular party. Remember how the PAPzis:
Among those who did not contest but who showed organisation and an independent mind, remember 'Marxists' such as Kuo Pao Kun, Tan Wah Piow, Wong Souk Yee, Chng Suan Tse, Kevin de Souza, Vincent Cheng, Chew Kheng Chuan, etc.
This is perhaps the reason the PAPzis are rooting for the party of Watergate, the Iraqi Invasion and these personal attacks - they are kindred spirits.

For Singaporeans, however, such tactics are the norm for one particular party. Remember how the PAPzis:
- called Tang Liang Hong a Chinese chauvinist and proceeded to drag his entire family into the fray;
- branded Francis Seow a US-led Marxist conspirator;
- suggested that Jufrie Mahmood was a Malay chauvinist / religious fanatic because he said 'insya Allah' during a rally.
- paraded CST's 'O' level grades and compared them to Mah Bow Tan's - that was one instant I felt proud of the residents of Potong Pasir for sayin 'no' to the PAPzis
